What does this beach have to offer?

Zandloper Beach Access is the northernmost beach in Julianadorp aan Zee. The beach access was previously known as “Ship on the Beach,” named after the former pavilion. A brand-new pavilion has been built since a devastating fire destroyed the previous one. This is a monitored Blue Flag beach with a lifeguard station. There are plenty of campsites and bungalow parks to be found in Julianadorp aan Zee, a very nice and cozy village.

The beach is most easily accessible by bicycle, where you can find ample bicycle parking. From the bicycle parking area, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach.

During the summer season, the Coast Bus (851) runs from the Den Helder train station to this beach entrance, with a bus stop at Strandslag Zandloper. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach from this stop.

The road to the beach is fully paved. If you wish to use a special beach wheelchair, you can reserve one at the Zee van Tijd beach pavilion by calling 0223-641474.
